The Truth About Fat Loss

The following points will be explored alongside many other things in my new book coming out early 2009.
1. Precision nutrition. A bad diet will not be forgiven by great training no matter how hard you try you cant polish a turd !!!. You quite simply have to create a caloric deficit while eating enough protein and essential fats and getting your green superfoods. Avoid this at your peril
2. Re read point 1. Yes without understanding this point training will more often than not be a frustrating experience yielding meagre results.
3. Train the muscles that burn the most calories all day all night, maintain/promote muscle mass and elevate metabolism. I think it's fairly obvious that the bulk of calories burned are determined by our resting metabolic rate (RMR). The amount of calories burned outside of our resting metabolism (through exercise, thermic effect of feeding, etc.) is a smaller contributor to overall calories burned per day. We can also accept that RMR is largely a function of how much muscle you have on your body... and how hard it works. Therefore, adding activities that promote or maintain muscle mass will make that muscle mass work harder and elevate the metabolic rate. This will become your number one training priority when developing fat loss programs. Train big muscles using big exercises and get results big time !!
4. Control stress and cortisol – stress and the negative consequences to your health and ability to lose bodyfat and maintain muscle mass will be covered in much greater detail in the book. Using NLP techniques, simple breathing techniques and meditation will speed up fat loss and mean faster recovery between sessions.
5. Use natures metabolism boosters – simple natural products help the bodies hormonal systems to function more effectively and boost your metabolism 5 – 10% day and night which over a year could yield an extra 5 – 10 kg bodyfat reduction.
You are what you think – your thoughts become your actions and your consistent actions become your reality. Clean up your thoughts and you will become what you think about most of the time.
